Alongside all the programmes to be found on this site, including individual Work and Sports placements, which allow employees to share skills and develop new approaches in a very different work or coaching context and our standard Community Development Projects, we provide bespoke corporate projects. Whether you want to nominate Careerbreaker as a preferred partner for employee sabbaticals, or would like us to create a bespoke Community Development Project specifically for your company and employees, we provide a great opportunity for an organisation to reward or build and develop its employees; and participate in meaningful corporate social responsibility at a global level.

Our Corporate Careerbreaker Community Development Projects are ideal for:

We offer bespoke Corporate Community Development Projects, for groups of 8-15 people, from 7 days to 3+ months in length. Projects generally last from 2-5 weeks, longer-term multi-phase projects can also work well, when groups from the same organisation, complete different phases.

Careerbreaker Corporate Community Development Projects are very much experiential team-building; removing people far from their normal comfortable environment invokes high impact, rapid development, learning and personal growth; the team hierarchy and dynamics can quickly alter beyond any previous model.

By sharing a common goal in a situation where there are real consequences to their decision-making and actions e.g. the classroom only gets partially built, which means disadvantaged children continue to go without an education, participants are highly motivated to complete their project successfully by working together.

Bespoke packages are currently available in the following destinations; more destinations are planned for 2007:

West Africa: Ghana

East Africa: Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda

South America: Peru

Asia: Sri Lanka and Thailand

Completing a Community Development Project overseas is a very powerful and rewarding experience. Most people describe it as a ‘once in a lifetime’, phrases such as ‘I learnt so much about myself and about others’ are commonly quoted. It is also immense fun and a real life-enhancing experience - the communities in which we work go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home.
