Volunteer Sports Projects - Netball - Uganda

Our Uganda projects are based in the Jinja region, where the source of the Nile begins at Lake Victoria. Jinja is a spacious, relaxed town which has all the amenities a volunteer may need. The local transport is matatu’s (small mini buses) and boda-boda’s (bicycles or small motorcycles). Jinja is about an hour and a half away from Kampala, Uganda’s vibrant, bustling capital city.
The weather can be hot and humid during the day all year round. The rainy seasons are from March until May/June; and Sept/Oct - November
Whilst on your placement you will stay in the Careerbreaker house in Jinja along with Work Placements Volunteer. The house is secure and will act as your base throughout the placement. Careerbreaker will employ a cook to provide meals. These will be local dishes, and you will quickly realise what your favourites are!
